2006 C'est Syrah Beaux
Appellation: Columbia Valley
Varietal: Syrah
Sweet, rich vanilla, minerals and oak barrel aromas lead into the dark, ripe black fruit spiciness of this wine. Bright, clean, powerful, extracted cherry and berry flavors are supported by an aggressive yet not overshadowing oak presence that pleases the palate. Fine grade tannin and firm acidity layer in texture with the nicely balanced fruit. Obvious complexity coupled with creamy oak texture make this wine thoroughly enjoyable in its youth; it should emerge even better with age.

Soft and subtle aromas of ripe Santa Rosa plum excite the senses with just a smidgeon of toasty cocoa thrown in for complexity. On the nose one detects exotic perfume, honey, orange zest and a hint of allspice. Fresh apricot prevails on the mid-palate together with a hint of almonds.
